Penang

Penang is situated on the North Western part of Peninsular Malaysia, which is around 112 kilometers south of Pulau Langkawi. Penang is also known as “Pearl of the Orient”. In the beginning of the formation of Malaysia Penang, a tall beetle nut palm tree was a common sight to the travelers. There is one historical anecdote available in this regard. In fact we find from the anecdotes that this betel nut palm tree gave rise to the name of Pulau Penang, which is also referred to as the Island of the betel Nut.

There are other popular beaches located in Beach Penang. The names of some of the popular beaches falling under Penang are Tanjung Bungah, Batu Feringhi and Teluk Bahang. All these offer to the tourists a picturous beach which is inscribed as tropical island paradise. Penng is a beach resort with total beauty of the beach adds rich to its unique atmosphere. There are several hotels, discotheques and night restaurants available all round the beach. To those travelers who are an ardent believer of sun God, Penang Beach is ideal for them. There are also some of the sites available on the northwestern coastline. Along the lines of northwestern coastline, which is just situated on the opposite side of the Island from the capital city Georgetown, there could be some traces of some more popular beaches and less known beaches. Sparkling sea, powdery white colored sand and sunlight are the only ways for some of the travelers who can get access to the way towards Penang Beach.



There are some places of interests near to Penang Beaches. The names are Forestry Museum, Butterfly Farm and Penang Hill. The other places of interest for the tourists are Arboretum Recreational Park, Penang Hill and Penang Bridge. There are also untapped beaches nearby to Beach Penang are Pulau Bidan, Pulau Telur and Pulau Son which are conducive for swimming and fishing.
